  1. Remove orphaned for BizTalk Servers and SQL Servers monitoring

    Hi,
When we import an alarm from one environment to another, there are sometimes orphaned artefacts.
You already have a button "Remove orphaned" in Applications (for send ports, receive locations,..) but this feature does not exist for Disk and System Resources when monitoring BizTalk and SQL Servers.

  2. Monitoring for Always On Instances

With BizTalk 2016 you have the possibility to configure the DB with Always On. Because of MSDTC you have to create at least 4 instances and to create the BizTalk Db in these instances. At the moment in BizTalk360 you can only monitor 2, this should be now changed to allow a better control of all bts DB.

  3. Syncronisation of applications endpoints with BizTalk360 monitoring alerts

It would be great is the BizTalk360 application was able to keep in sync with the endpoints within an application - as seen in the BizTalk admin console. Presently, if any changes are made to the BizTalk applications endpoints the BizTalk360 alert has to be reconfigured to match the changes - this is generally overlooked until the email alert comes through and shows an error.

  4. Messaging latency SLA monitoring / alerting

Making extended use of the captured Messaging Performance analytics data, it would be good to be able to set a performance SLA for messaging through BizTalk. If the latency of a specific data interchange drops below the SLA threshold then raise an alert for investigation.

  5. Restrict alarms by user group

When defining alarms it should be possible to separate alarms by "user group". Essentially we will be sharing access to BT360 with our client and we would like them to be able to create their own alarms for their applications. However we don't want them to be able to edit (or delete) our alarms. It should be possible to separate alarms by user group.

  6. Allow the creation of Alarm Mapping templates used in by alarms (instanced or referenced)

As per title and other suggestions.

Allow a mapping template to be created and named. These templates would be 'masters'. Then when creating alarms allow a template to be selected and instanced into the alarm or copied to a version and the versioned copy referenced by one or more alarms. Obviously if a template is copied version is referenced by multiple alarms dependencies would need to be displayed or alerted if changes were made to the referenced mappings for example.

I could go on but the idea is there ...

  7. Consolidated View of Alarms in Monitoring Dashboard

In the current version (8.2), the Monitoring Dashboard only displays one alarm at a time. In an organisation that configures many alarms, this means they can't see an overview in one screen of all mappings - unless they include an additional alarm that includes everything, which would cause duplicate emails, etc. Pretty sure that older versions of BizTalk360 included a consolidated view(?)

    - can be reached
    - login is possible
    - given remote path is accessable

  9. Listing of alerts stopped for maintenance

I would like to see an improvement in future editions where you are displayed with a list of stop alerts you have created (within the same page), in the Stop Alerts for Maintenance page.

  10. Stop and disable the host instance when auto correction is set to Disabled

There is no way for setting Stopped and Disabled states – not for monitoring or auto-correct behavior.

The problem this is creating for me is that if someone inadvertently starts a secondary FTP Receive Host Instance (as someone did recently) I want BizTalk360 to:

    1. alert me that this Host Instance is in an unexpected state
    2. have auto-correct set it to the desired state – Disabled
    3. and stop the running service – because it should never have been started and must be stopped: a. Set to disabled and left running is not what I need b. Setting ‘Desired State’ to Stopped…

  11. E-Mail template with local language characters

At present, the email template accepts only English input method. I'm trying to set the "subject prefix" with translated names into local language Swedish making the message more user friendly.

When using charts Å Ä Ö I'm allowed to save but the chars are saved as "?". We want it to accept languages, other than English.

  13. Ability to monitor SSO service and clustered services

Our BizTalk runs on two application servers and two Db servers. We are facing one problem where we have now clustered our SQL server enterprise single sign on service, so if one of the sql server is down, the SSO sign on service will move to another node.

Earlier the monitoring setup in BizTalk360 was Ent SSO service on both the sql nodes were set as started. Now it is running on one node at a time and the second is inactive. There can be a condition where this node can be down, so other SSO service node will be…

  14. Combine Threshold Monitoring with Data Monitoring

When creating a new Alarm you must enable one or more of the 3 independent alarm types:
    - Threshold
    - Health
    - Data Monitoring

There does not seem to be any logical reason that when an alarm should monitor Thresholds that it shouldn't also be monitoring Data and vice versa.
We ran into an issue when we built some DB Query Monitors and attached them to Alarms that didn't have Threshold monitoring enabled, only Data Monitoring. We never received alerts when the DB Query was triggering a failure. Only upon detailed investigation when we noticed that we were in a…

This functionality is now available in latest version 10.6. You can now schedule data monitoring alerts for SQL queries created in BizTalk360. In terms of security, this functionality can only be accessible by the super user and the custom user who has full SQL query access.

Check out the release notes and upgrade to the latest version 10.6.

  17. Autocorrect should have configurable retry interval

Currently autocorrect tries to enable a port once a minute. It would be nice to configure this to a different interval like once every 5 minutes.

We would like to check a web endpoint less often than once a minute to reduce overhead.

  19. Process Monitoring should be able to use 'last day of month' as an option

We have a process we want to monitor that runs on the last day of each month. There is no way to setup a Process Monitor to monitor this. Currently you must specify the exact day of the month and if that day doesn't exist in the current month than the process is ignored.

  20. Check inbound file size < 10 kb

The customer has a new BI process that collect data and send it to the CRM system.
Sometime there are no data, the source system creates an “empty” file.
The file is not empty because there is the header information, but no data.
Customer asked me to create an alarm, if a file smaller than 10 kb would be found.
I hoped to find this function into the Data Monitoring, but was not.
I think this could be a good function for a future version.
